The Butte County Fair runs Thursday, Aug. 24th through Sunday, August 27th at the Butte County Fairgrounds in Gridley with fun for the whole family. Attractions include the Midway of Fun Carnival, Kids Imagination Fun Zone, Zombie Paintball, multiple musical acts, Miss Butte County Contest, local Team Roping, American Thunder Monster Trucks and Thrill Show, Tractor Pull, Demolition Derby and more. Hours are as follows:
August 24th, the fair is open from 4 pm to 11pm
August 25th, the fair is open from 3 pm to Midnight
August 26th, the fair is open from Noon to Midnight
August 27th, the fair is open from Noon to 11 pm
General admission tickets can be found online at Buttecountyfair.org. Grandstand event tickets are sold separately and also available online.
Livestock showing events and awards begin on August 24th. The junior livestock auction starts at 10 am on Saturday, August 26th in the McClanahan Pavilion. The public is welcome to attend and bid on livestock. To pre-register as a Buyer, visit www.buttecountyfair.org/livestock for the buyer registration form, or visit the main office at 199 East Hazel St., Gridley. This is a terminal sale, but Buyers are given the option to either process or resale the animal they've purchased. Resale prices will be available the week of the fair.
