Live Spot Action Team members, Friday Night Live and Club Live Officers held a Summer Walk-A-Thon Tuesday at Gridley High School in front of their teen center to raise money so that students can attend the second annual Butte County Behavioral Health Youth Conference.
The Walk-A-Thon ran from 9 a.m., to 1 p.m., with students walking several laps after having their sponsor sheets filled by willing contributors.
BBQ lunch was provided at the end of the successful event.
The Youth Conference will include the Youth Development Summit and REACH for the Future. Each student was required to raise $150 each for both conferences and they raised funds for each lap they completed.
A DJ was on hand playing plenty of inspiring music to keep the kids moving.
