The Manzanita eighth grade basketball squad continues to roll, piling up three more wins to take home first place at the Corning Middle School Basketball Tournament. The Mustangs defeated Willows, Durham, and Berrendos (Red Bluff) to take home the crown.
In the teams 50-30 win over Berrendos, Quinn Spring led all scorers with 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Angel Santana scored eight points, while Sammy Cota had seven points, six assists and seven rebounds. For the full story, pleqase pick up a 1/27/12 edition of The Gridley Herld.
