“Underworld: Awakening” is the fourth in a series of Vampire vs Lycan action thrillers. Guys love this series, and I can understand why. Tons of action, car chases, dramatic fight scenes, and Kate Beckinsale in skin-tight latex adds up to a hit movie for most men. I found it a little boring.

I like a story with my movie, and this movie hit the action 2 minutes in and didn't stop until the credits rolled. That's doesn't mean you wont enjoy it. If you liked the first three films you are bound to love this one. But if you were thinking of dipping your un-exposed toe into the “Underworld” series water, I suggest you do it at home, with a 99 cent rental, first.

Rated R for strong violence and gore, and for some language, I give “Underworld: Awakening” 3 out of 5 stars.
