With over 125 participating in the 5k-10k Color Run Saturday in Downtown Gridley it was a mass of purple chalk primarily as runners took delight in sending a cascade of colored chalk over their friends.

Children's Hope Foster Family Agency held their annual Color Run in the newly renovated Daddow Park as runners prepared to take off at 10:30 a.m., bringing many great memories for families and friends participating from as far away as Roseville.

DJ Louie kept the hype up as he kept the music going with Crystal keeping the Zumba moves moving in the gazebo.

The Sycamore School AVID class volunteered at each of the color stations around town to help throw the color at runners going by.

Raffle prize donations from Cindy Stowe, Continental Athletic, Lundberg Farms, Southwest Airlines, Sacramento River Cats, Sacramento Kings, John Deere Yuba City, Blender Bottle, Two  season passes to 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom and many other great prizes. Goodie bag stuffers were provided by Sohnrey Farms and MDM Manuoel. Hot dogs and buns donated by Grocery Outlet Yuba City. Water donated by Sav Mor Foods. Zumba Instructor Crystal from Gridley Fitness donated her time as well as DJ Louie. Stivi and John owners of Burlap and Silk located in downtown Gridley volunteering to take pictures. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers for their time given!
