A 38-year-old Yuba City man is in the custody of the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, and faces several charges in connection with the disappearance of a 16-year-old Live Oak girl last week.

Allen Gene Turner was arrested earlier this week. As of press time on Thursday, Turner was in custody at the Sutter County Jail.

The Sutter County District Attorney’s office has filed three charges against Turner: Child stealing, oral copulation with a person under the age of 18, and unlawful intercourse. Bail was tentatively set at $50,000. 

Turner was scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Thursday afternoon in Sutter County Superior Court in Yuba City.

The 16-year-old girl, disappeared from outside a Live Oak church last week. According to the SCSO, she was found Tuesday morning of this week at a residence in the 700 block of Lincoln Road in Yuba City   in the company of Turner, whom she reportedly knew.
