As part of an ongoing effort to keep firearms out of the hands of known gang members, the Yuba-Sutter Narcotic/Gang Enforcement Team (NET-5) teamed up with the Sutter County Sheriff's Department SWAT team in executing a search warrant on Thursday, where they arrested a known gang member in possession of a .45 caliber handgun and an AR-15 assault rifle.

According to authorities, 20-year-old Noel Ricardo Hernandez, a documented gang member, was taken into custody at a residence on the 10100 block of P Street in Live Oak after agents recovered a handgun along with an assault rifle that had been stolen from the Solano County Sheriff's Office in 2012.

Hernandez was booked into the Sutter County Jail for possession of an assault weapon, possessing a high capacity magazine, being an identified gang member with a weapon, and possession of stolen property.

A search warrant was also served at an address on Gum Street.
