Jonathon Villapania will travel to Virginia Beach, VA for the most prestigious high school event, in any sport, throughout the country this weekend.

After a stellar performance throughout his junior wrestling season, Villapania was selected to attend the 25th Annual NHSCA National High School Wrestling Championships earlier this year.

The event will be filled with the best wrestlers in the nation.

Last year in the junior division alone, a record 743 talented wrestlers representing 45 states took to the mat to obtain the title. There were 205 State Champions and 424 state place finishers.

The top-8 place finishers in each weight class will officially be declared High School Junior All-Americans and will also be recognized at the National High School Sports Hall of Fame Museum.

Every college wrestling coach in the country has been invited to attend the event. Last year, over 200 college and university wrestling coaches attended the event.

There have been thousands of scholarships over the past 20 years awarded to individuals because of their performance at this event.
