A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Gridley Biggs Cemetery for Edward C. Bronner, 84 of Gridley, California. He passed away December 30, 2013 in Gridley, California. Ed was born on December 29, 1929 in Orland, California to Claude F. and Florence Bronner. As a young child, he moved with his family to Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas, before returning to the Biggs-Gridley area. He finished his schooling at Biggs High School. As a young man, he moved to Reno, Nevada and stayed there for a few years before returning and settling down in Gridley. He went to work for the rice mill in Biggs until his retirement. Ed loved building things. Just describe or show him something and he could build it. If you were lucky to have Ed build something, it will still be standing and continue to do so. Ed also loved gardening and spent many hours growing, harvesting and canning his bounty. He took much pride in his gardening and his ability to build and fix just about anything. He was preceded in death by his parents, and Brother Bill Bronner. Ed is survived by his brother Gene (Janet) Bronner of Aurora, Missouri, his sister Donna (Joe) Cerullo of Rocklin, California, Sister Luella Tamagni of Gridley, California, two nephews, one niece, and several great-nephews and great-nieces. Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley Block Funeral Chapel.
