  • The varsity game of Gridley vs Las Plumas was a nail biter Tuesday night at Farmers Hall as the score remained neck and neck resulting in Las Plumas winning in the last seconds 67-66. This was a great preview of what is to be seen during GIBT next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

  • The Gridley High School boys basketball team kicked off their season opener at home on Tuesday in a head-to-head contest against the Las Plumas Thunderbirds. The match-up was even across the board, but the Thunderbirds managed to pull away with the victory 67-66. Sophomore Quinn Spring led the Bulldogs in the opener with 21 points, while senior Shobi Khan had 17 points. Sophomore Sam Cota totaled 11 for Gridley who played Central Valley yesterday at the Durham Tournament. Gridley’s JV boys fell 64-37 in their game against Las Plumas.
