  • Senior quarterback Emery Haddy was named the Bulldogs’ Most Valuable Player last week at the Bulldogs annual awards banquet. Wide receiver Shobi Khan was awarded Gridley’s top Offensive Player Award, while Jonathan Villapania received Defensive Most Valuable Player. Guiyermo Ramos was given Gridley’s Most Valuable Lineman award, while Mikey Herrera was the team’s Most Improved Player. Jack Becker and Gabe Cisneros both received the Coaches Award. Emery Haddy and Austin Amberson were named Co-Mr. Bulldogs. Haddy, Khan, and Villapania each earned all-BVL status for the Bulldogs. Becker, Herrera, Eric Vasquez, and Austin Amberson all received honorable mention for the Butte View League. For the JV team, Jarren Campos received the Bulldogs’ Most Valuable Player award. DJ Johnson was named Offensive MVP, while both Vincent Sanchez and Joey Howard received Gridley’s Most Valuable Defensive Player Award. Greyson Wedin received the Coaches Award for the Bulldogs.
