The California State University, Chico College of Agriculture will honor Tri Counties Bank at the 23rd Hall of Honor reception on Oct. 12. Tri Counties Bank has provided the title sponsorship for the Superior Ag/Tri Counties Bank Golf Classic since 2009 and has contributed nearly $70,000 to scholarships and academic programs in the College of Agriculture. The Hall of Honor Reception will be held at the University Farm from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Alumni, parents, and friends of the College of Agriculture are invited to sample various wines, beers, cheeses, and CSU, Chico sausage. A silent auction will take place during the evening to help support student organizations. The reception is also a 60th anniversary celebration for the College of Agriculture, which was established in 1953. The College of Agriculture established its Hall of Honor in 1991 to honor individuals, families, and organizations who have significantly impacted the quality and direction of the agricultural programs at CSU, Chico. Past inductees include former faculty, deans, university presidents, donors, volunteers, and community supporters of the College of Agriculture. In addition to the Hall of Honor reception on the weekend of Oct. 12-13, CSU, Chico’s University Farm is a stop on the Sierra Oro Farm Trail. The farm will be open to passport holders for tours, product sampling, and demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 12 and 13.
