On September 16, 2013, at approximately 8:33 p.m., Officers with the Gridley-Biggs Police Department (GBPD) responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Maine Street in Gridley.
During the investigation, officers discovered that David Gleffe was present and lived at the residence along with a female roommate. It was determined that Gleffe was on active parole out of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and was in possession of items consistent with the processing of marijuana for sales was located including approximately twelve (12) pounds of processed, packaged marijuana, packaging materials, a large weighing scale, three cell phones and indicia indicative of the sales of marijuana. Based upon the Officers findings the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force (BINTF) was contacted. BINTF responded and took over the narcotics investigation.
Arrested as a result of the BINTF investigation David Gleffe, 50 years of age was arrested for violation of section 11359 of the California Health and Safety Code (possession for sales of controlled substances), section 11357(c) of the California Health Safety Code (possession of over an ounce of marijuana) and section 3056 of the California Penal Code (felony violation of parole). Gleffe was later booked into the Butte County Jail on the above mentioned charges.
The incident is still under investigation.
