John Kenneth (Kenny) Byram passed away peacefully on June 26 after a short fight with cancer.
John Kenneth (Kenny) Byram passed away peacefully on June 26 after a short fight with cancer. He was born in Parks, Arkansas to James and Eva Byram on January 2, 1929. The family moved to California where they settled in Gridley. After graduating high school, he served in the Navy for three years. He worked in the Rice Mill and later for Pacific Bell Telephone as an installer until his retirement in 1982. He is survived by his wife Doris; sons Steven and Bob; daughter Denise, brother Eldon, of Sparks, Nevada; sisters Ima Dale Smith, of Ridgecrest, California, Darlene McGie, of Albany, Oregon, Jeannie Eastman, of Harrisville, New Hampshire, and Karen Van Amerongen, of Burlington, Iowa. Kenny is fondly remembered for his big smile and wry sense of humor.
