  • Fans of the Harry Potter series and The Casual Vacancy don't have to wait to get their hands on J.K. Rowling's next novel. It's already out.
Rowling was exposed this week as the real voice behind "Robert Galbraith," an alleged ex-military man who published his first crime novel, The Cuckoo's Calling, earlier this year to much critical acclaim, The Associated Press reports.

Britain's Sunday Times began looking into Galbraith after its reviewers began to question how a first-time author could have penned "such an assured debut," the AP reports. After the paper noticed several ties between Galbraith and Rowling, including the fact that they used the same publisher and editor, Rowling's publicist confirmed the news.
Rowling said she plans to continue authoring the series as Robert Galbraith, according to the AP. "I hoped to keep this secret a little longer because being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience," she said in a statement Sunday. "It has been wonderful to publish without hype or expectation, and pure pleasure to get feedback from publishers and readers under a different name."
The second Robert Galbraith novel is expected to be published next summer, the AP reports.
