A car wash and bake sale are being planned for three-year-old Robby Byers of Biggs. Robby is Autistic and desperately needs a service dog to help with his anxiety and meltdowns. Robby tends to wander or bolt away from his parents Travis and Andrena Byers of Biggs and a service dog would be at his side to make sure he does not get in harms way.
The car wash/bake sale will be held Saturday, June 29 at the former Dow Lewis location, next to Les Schwab Tire on Highway 99 from 9 a.m., to 2 p.m., to raise money for a much-needed service dog for Robby. Advance $5 tickets are available at The Wishing Corner, The Gridley Herald or Pizza Round Up in Biggs.
"Pawsitive Service Dog Solutions," trains dogs for Autistic children and these dogs are specially trained for specific children in mind.
The Byers' are trying to raise $10,000, which is 100 percent tax deductible (and half the cost of training a dog) so that their son can have his own service dog to also help with Robby's meltdowns to help calm him down.
Donations can be made at any U.S. Bank, written to either Travis or Robert Byers or mailed directly to Pawsitive Service Dog Solutions, PO Box 383, Olivehurst, CA 95961 or visit their website at www.pawsitivesolutions.org and click on the "donate" button and type Robert Byers in the memo area on the Paypal so that it goes directly to his service dog. Checks can be made out to Pawsitive Solutions and on the memo area write "Robert Byers' service dog."
Any questions can be answered by emailing Andrena Byers at email@example.com or calling 530-403-8203. Email contact information to Andrena to receive a receipt for your donation.
