SPC James Thomas Leslie Parker, 22, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jewel Slightom and cousin, Donald Ledford. James is survived by his father and stepmother, Thomas and Judith Parker of Albuquerque, New Mexico; mother and step-father, Starla and Gregg Glassel of Grants Pass, OR; three sisters, Krystal Parker of Albuquerque, NM, Kayla and husband Brian Robling of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathryn Glassel of Grants Pass OR; nephew, Ethan Robling and niece, Payton Richardson, both of Albuquerque, NM; grandparents, Thomas and wife Sharlene Parker of Red Bluff, California, Jim Slightom of Chico, California, Bruce and wife Trena Swinney of Biggs, California, numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. James was employed with the United States Army Alpha Company 1/200 Infantry Battalion 2nd Platoon.
