  • The Gridley High School Softball team held their annual awards night earlier this month to close out the 2013 season.

  • The Gridley High School Softball team held their annual awards night earlier this month to close out the 2013 season. Megan Anthony was named the Lady Bulldogs’ Offensive Player of the Year, while Mikaela Ponciano was selected as the team’s Defensive Player of the Year. Victoria Ingram received the Coaches’ Award for the Lady Bulldogs. Catherine Roman was given the Most Improved Player Award. Fraine Cox received the Bulldog Award and the High Grade Point Average Award for maintaining a 4.17 GPA during the year. Anthony, Ponciano, and Cox were each named All-Butte View League selections, while Macfarlane and Mardesich were both named All-BVL Honorable Mention. Coaches Amber Mendenhall and Misha Rogers would like to thank everyone who came to the banquet and supported the girls throughout the season. They would also like to thank the girls for all their hard work and a great season.
