A funeral service will be held for Malcolm Cline Baker, 78 of Biggs, on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Latter-day Saints Gridley First Ward on Spruce Street. Malcolm passed away at his home on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
He was born on November 14, 1934 to Marion and Bessie Baker in Phoenix, Arizona. His family moved to the Gridley area in 1937. As a young man he worked in construction. In 1959 he married Lily Borrowman, in Reno, Nevada. Malcolm was a bee keeper for 50 years in the Gridley area. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Malcolm enjoyed going to car shows, swap meets and visiting with people.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Sears in 2012.
His survivors include his wife Lily of Biggs; one daughter, Shelly Baker, of Palermo; one son, Steven (Peggy), of Biggs; two brothers, Robert (Lynn), of Biggs, Victor (Jean), of Gridley; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Affordable Mortuary.
