The money raised enables the Center to help women and their families in South Butte County. The center offers women pregnancy tests, maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers, formula, baby essentials, love, concern, peer counseling, emotional support, decision-making tools, education on parenting, education on abortion procedures and risks, and education on adoption. The Walk for Life funds help the Center keep all their services free of charge to the women and families who need them. A successful Walk this year will help them serve more women and move forward in their goals for the future. There are lots of prizes for the top walkers, free entertainment, refreshments, face painting, a bounce house, pony rides, and more. Everyone has the chance to earn a free t-shirt by raising $150 in pledges. All walkers who raise $200 earn a free sweatshirt. NOW is the time to pick up a Walk brochure and start gathering sponsors. Join the fun on Saturday, May 4th at the Oroville Dam for the 19th Annual Walk for Life for a good cause. If you can’t participate on the 4th you can walk on your own another day. For more information or to pick up a Walk brochure call 533-8388 or come by Caring for Women Pregnancy Resource Center at 2362 Lincoln Street. Come make a difference and help young women and their families in our area! All proceeds used locally to help those in South Butte County.
