  • AAUW Garden Tour – Art in the Gardens

  • On Saturday, May 4, more than a dozen artists will be featured in the gardens and at the art gallery reception as part of the Annual AAUW Garden Tour. Always held the First Saturday in May, the public is invited to tour 5 to 8 outstanding gardens in the two-county area from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. This is a self-guided tour, and the gardens can be visited in any order of preference.

  • On Saturday, May 4, more than a dozen artists will be featured in the gardens and at the art gallery reception as part of the Annual AAUW Garden Tour. Always held the First Saturday in May, the public is invited to tour 5 to 8 outstanding gardens in the two-county area from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. This is a self-guided tour, and the gardens can be visited in any order of preference. This year’s artists in the gardens are: Jo Anderson, Carol Keesling, Karen Sutton, Sue Graue, Leslie Greenetz, Tamra Spoto, Terri Foley, Kathryn Henley, Marlys Bayne, Lili Solorzano, Cindy Gavin, Inger Price, Ray Rounds, and Luisa Leger. Linda Stephenson and Gloria Walchesky will be at the art gallery reception area. Tickets are $15, and are available after April 1 at The Candy Box, Sperbeck’s Nursery, Union Lumber, Yuba City Florist, Botanica Landscapes, Bald Mountain Nursery, Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council or from any AAUW member. Tour maps and additional tickets are available the morning of the tour at Plumas and C Streets in Yuba City between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and at the Yuba-Sutter Regional Arts Council in the afternoon. A drop-by reception will be at the Yuba Sutter Regional Arts Council, 624 E Street in Marysville from 10 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and is hosted by the Harkey House Bed and Breakfast, The Brick Coffee House Café, and Cakes By Request. You must have tickets for the Garden Tour to attend the reception. Proceeds from the AAUW Garden Tour benefit projects of the Marysville-Yuba City Branch of the American Association of University Women. Projects include the Math Science Conference for 8th Grade Girls, Tech Trek Science Camp, and other scholarships for girls and women.
