According to The Associated Press, Kilpatrick was convicted of corruption chrages earlier today.

    Two Americans were killed and 10 more were wounded in a shootout in eastern Afghanistan, CNN reports. Two Afghan army personnel were also killed in the attack, in which an assailant an Afghan National Security Forces uniform opened fire on the coalition of soldiers. An American offical told reporters that the soldiers returned fire and killed the attacker, who was shooting at them with a truck-mounted gun.
