Royne McGinnis is going to be recognized by the Biggs Lions Club in a Roast on Saturday, March 2 in the Community Center (Veterans Hall).
If you did, I am sure that you must have had great feelings every time the band played in parades or whatever it may have been.
Because of Mr. McGinnis's more than 50 years as a teacher of music at Biggs High School, Biggs Elementary and Richvale Elementary, these schools were recognized all over the county as superior band schools, winning so many awards and recognition.
It all came down to Royne McGinnis and his desire to have the best, and he expected his students to feel his desire.
Now, because of his total effort Royne McGinnis is going to be recognized by the Biggs Lions Club in a Roast on Saturday, March 2 in the Community Center (Veterans Hall). We are hoping that the community will turn out for this dinner and honor a man who gave so much to the school and the community.
There are two reasons to have this effort: Give Royne the honor he deserves for all the things he has done for Biggs, and to raise funds for Lions Club scholarships for graduating seniors at the end of this school year. Mark March 2 on your calendar and plan on attending the Royne McGinnis Roast. The time will be 6 p.m., and you can come at 5:30 to check all of the raffle prizes that will be available. Please plan on attending to honor Royne McGinnis.
