  • Gridley’s youth varsity wrestling team travelled to the Spider Patch TOC qualified in Orland on the 12th of January and came back with four qualifiers for the TOC tournament in March.

  • Gridley’s youth varsity wrestling team travelled to the Spider Patch TOC qualified in Orland on the 12th of January and came back with four qualifiers for the TOC tournament in March.
    8th Grader Tony Roulette took home the first place medal for the 112 lbs. division, while 7th grader Jace Villapania (108 lbs.) brought home second place. Bryar Byrne (89 lbs.) and Steven Edwards (235 lbs.), both 8th graders, took 3rd place in their divisions.
    Gridley’s youth JV wrestling team travelled to the Corning Novice Tournament on the same day. 2nd grader Cole Cummings took down a defending state champion to win the gold at the 56 lbs. division. Miko Montero pinned his twin sister, Malia Montero, in the semi-finals match and later won first place at 83 lbs. Malia battled back after the loss to her brother to take third. Lance Santeere and Riley Dunning, 6th graders, made it to the 89 lbs. finals to wrestle each other, with Santeere taking first and Dunning placing second.
