  •  The wind and rain held off last Wednesday night long enough for the annual Tree Lighting held at Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital with the Butte County Royal Court singing Silver  Bells and White Christmas. The winner of the Essay Contest, “What the Holidays Mean to Me,” Alexis Ceja, six grade Sycamore School student was introduced by Mayor Jerry Fichter before Ceja flipped the switch to turn the tree lights on.
