  • Even though they defeated Loyalton earlier in the season, 48-6, the Dunsmuir Tigers are scheduled to play their Division 6 semifinal game at Loyalton this Saturday, Nov. 10, starting at 1 p.m.
The Tigers (10-1 overall), who finished second in the California North 8-Man League, won their playoff opener over Greenville Nov. 2 in Dunsmuir, 68-6.
Loyalton (8-2) placed first in the South 8-Man League and won its playoff opener over Tulelake, 50-20.
All four Division 6 first round games were blowouts, as North champion Redding Christian defeated Mercy of Red Bluff, 50-18, and defending section champion Butte Valley, which placed third in the North, defeated Princeton, the second place team in the South.
Dunsmuir is attempting to advance to the Division 6 championship game for the second year in a row.
