Voters can now look up their own ballots and polling places from mobile devices
The League of Women Voters of California announces the launch of its new Smart Voter® mobile website for accessing online voter information. The new service supports mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets. Voters can use address-based lookup of their ballot to obtain an exact list of the candidates they will be voting on, as well as their polling place location. The service includes brief biographies of thousands of candidates, along with descriptions of their top priorities, position papers, endorsements, and photos. Also available is background on the state propositions and scores of local ballot measures, and the answers to questions that were posed to each candidate for United States Senate, House of Representatives, and California Senate and Assembly.
The League's SmartVoter.org website gets millions of page views. With this launch, they are delighted to be able to better serve highly-connected 21st century voters. Users can access the new site by pointing their browsers to m.smartvoter.org
