  • Three arraigned in gang shooting

  • Alejandro Gonzalez, 19, of Gridley was arrested by Gridley-Biggs Police on Saturday and booked into Butte County Jail on homicide charges in the apparent gang-related shooting of 18-year-old Alonzo Robles Morales of Gridley on Monday, October 1, 2012.
           Morales was transported to Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Enloe Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from a single gunshot wound to the head.
           Two additional suspects were  arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Butte County Superior Court who were already in custody for a shooting that occurred in Oroville the day after the Gridley homicide.
            Fredy Caudillo, 18, and a juvenile, both of Oroville, along with Gonzalez are being charged with homicide with a gang enhancement and shooting at an occupied vehicle, all felonies.
