NORTHERN RECON GROUP COMING NEXT WEEK - If you see various military vehicles converging on Gridley's Butte County Fairgrounds RV Parking area next week, come join the fun and view the many historic vehicles and memorabilia "Living History" displays on Saturday, October 20 such as George Schaefer's 1941 ambulance which came from the beaches of Normandy originally before it was shipped to England by container and driven back east to be transported on the Queen Mary II. It took Schaefer nearly 3,000 hours of work to acquire the ambulance that was used to transport the injured on small cots hanging from each side.
