  • As part of a larger tour across Northern and Central California, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will bring its new Energy House Calls reality series to Butte County retail stores in Chico and Oroville. The improvement show features six families, including a Chico resident, who receive energy upgrades to their homes with the help of show host Carmen de la Paz. In each episode, Carmen and her crew consider the family members’ property, lifestyles and energy habits. Then, it’s time to get to work!
     
    The display will feature an expert host, who will demonstrate how customers can take on projects and change behaviors to improve energy efficiency and save money. In addition, informational panels will display energy-efficient ideas and advice.

    WHY         PG&E’s Energy House Calls reality series is an initiative to showcase the wide variety of energy management programs and rebates available to residential customers. Through fun and familiar stories, PG&E is able to show how using a combination of these energy management products and programs – SmartRate™, SmartAC™ and home appliance rebates, among others – can help customers conserve energy and save money.
