Bidwell Bark fundraising began in June 2012 and is going strong - currently the total is over $30,000 - but there’s still a long way to go in just three weeks. BHS hopes to raise $65,000 through Bidwell Bark to support the care of animals in its adoption program and increase its low-cost spay & neuter
    services.

As of September 7, 380 participants (including 77 teams) have registered and helped raise this much-needed money for the animals. Participants will earn prizes for their fundraising, from T-shirts to iPads - see the full list on our Fundraising
& Prizes page at BidwellBark.com. There is no limit to the number of participants or the number of members per team, and initial registration is free!

    Bidwell
Bark will be held on Saturday, September 29 at One Mile Recreation Area, Chico. Participants may choose to do the 5K Run, 2K Walk, or just enjoy the event. Festival admission is free, and tickets for the bagel breakfast or dog contest
entries may be purchased at the event for $5 each.

Participants and visitors alike will meet at least 35 unique vendors ranging from national businesses to local nonprofits, with many animal-related services and products available. See the full vendor list on the Sponsors page of the event website,
BidwellBark.com. The deadline to submit a vendor application is September 14.

The Sierra Nevada Demonstration Ring, sponsored by beloved local Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., will host a dog costume contest, tail-wagging contest, and demonstrations by Disc Dogs of the Golden Gate, a Bay Area club whose members
perform amazing high-flying tricks with their Frisbee-loving dogs.

Bidwell Bark is the place to see and be seen with your dog. Look for appearances by local media talents including Rob Blair & Megan McMann of Wake Up!, event emcee V from Z-Rock FM, and even Mrs. Annie Bidwell, Chico’s first philanthropist. Popular BHS alumnus Moose Montana will be one of the featured guests at the Kissing Booth to help raise money for BHS. For more event information, visit BidwellBark.com.
