To ensure every member of your family is ready for the upcoming school year, Butte Humane Society’s Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic is offering Back to School Booster shots for your pets. This special low-cost vaccination clinic will be held on Friday, Sept 7 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm at 587 Country Drive. No appointment is necessary. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers. The low-cost vaccination clinic will offer significantly reduced prices on the following vaccinations:
- $7 DA2PPL
- $7 Bordetella
- $7 Rabies
- $7 FVRCP
- $10 Leukemia
- $10 Rattlesnake
Another feature of the vaccination clinic is an opportunity for pet owners to have a microchip implanted in their pet, which greatly increases the chance of being reunited if the pet is ever lost or stolen. Microchips will be 50% off at this special clinic, available for the low price of $20 (while supplies last).
Because the BHS Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic is not a full-service veterinary facility, the staff encourages owners to establish long-term relationships with a local veterinarian to provide complete medical care.
State law requires that dogs and a Butte County ordinance requires that cats be vaccinated against rabies at four months of age and a booster a year later. Older dogs and cats are required to have booster immunizations every three years.
