Something new for the Butte County Fair and the Flower Bowl will be a contest for area children up to age 18 to enter their own stepping stones which can be used in their own yards after this year's fair August 23-26, 2012.
If you have stepping stones you have created or would like to try your hand at creating something new and original, enter by August 20 at noon.
Prizes will be awarded for the judge's favorite and stones must be at least two inches deep and up to 18" in diameter, no more.
Please have your name and phone number attached on the back before you turn your stepping stones into the Fair office between now and August 20.
Volunteers are needed for this year's fair whether you can donate a few hours, a day or two or more. Two training sessions will be held for this year's volunteers, one on August 11 at 9 a.m., in Farmers Hall or August 18 at 8 a.m., at Jake's Pavilion (formerly Goldies). Come help out and help make this year's fair bigger and better than ever.
