John Michael Faria, 62, of Gridley died June 10, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.?
A lifelong resident of Gridley, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he could. John served his country in Vietnam and then worked for Sunsweet Dryers for 23 years. Later he became a long haul truck driver and traveled with his wife Brenda all over the United States until he retired.
Survivors include wife Brenda Faria of 19 years; one brother, Mark Faria and wife Jimi, of Gridley, six children; Cameron Schwartz and wife Nicole, of Kingsport, Tennessee, Jon Schneider and wife Tanya, of Fresno, California, RaeAnna Gillespie and husband Clint, of Linda, California, Michelle Torres and husband Wally, of Biggs, California, Jordi Faria-Matcham and husband Ryan, of Granada Hills, California and James Faria, of Gridley, California. He also had ten adorable grandchildren; Elizabeth, Erin, Bailey, Emily, Alicia, Gabriel, Rylee, Alex, Analeigh, Alicia and Baby Gillespie.?
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Rose Faria.?

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday morning in the outdoor pavilion (behind the church) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1259 French Avenue, in Gridley.
