The Biggs City Council Monday evening reviewed recent public works and engineering projects, agreeing that the city is now in an excellent position to handle heavy rains and wind.  Last week's storms filled puddles and gutters but did not result in any local flooding, road closures, or power

outages. 

City Administrator Pete Carr told the council, "Gridley-Biggs Electric has for many weeks been aggressively trimming trees away from power lines and installing new power control devices.  This kind of advance work pays off when a bad storm causes no disruption to city services."
