Carol was born May 2, 1913 in Metropolis, Nevada.  She was the sixth child of John Alma Hyde and Annie Marie Jensen.  Carol came to Gridley and married Paul Goddard Quist on August 27, 1934.  With the exception of several years working in Tucson Arizona, and a service mission to Florida, Carol and Paul lived and raised their children here in the greater Gridley and Biggs areas.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly.  She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She served in various callings of leadership, teaching, and missionary work.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Paul; her three brothers and three sisters, two grandsons, and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her son, Weldon Quist of Oregon City, Oregon and her daughter, Sandra Bennett of Gridley, CA.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
