June Baker, 78, of Yuba City, passed on September 16, 2009. She was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on November 21, 1930.


She resided in Gridley, California from 1951 to 1974. She moved to Yuba City and ran the antique store Napoleon Square with her husband, Windy Baker, for many years. She was also co-owner of Monarch Gifts with her daughter Gail Schuster, before retiring in 1995. She was a long time member of Cooper Avenue Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Windy Baker, her son Daniel Baker, sisters Laverne Picksworth, and Freda Connolly and brother Rodger Reynolds.


She is survived by her children, Gail Schuster, of Live Oak, Mary Baker, of Olivehurst, Shawn Baker, of Yuba City; her sisters Dorothy Becker, of Yuba City, Carol Dunn and Judy Yaney, of Marysville; her grandchildren, Sam Baker and Clinton Baker, of Gridley, Aaron and Laurie Schuster, of Live Oak, Sarah Baker and Peter Baker, of Oregon, Lessa Baker Siciliano and Lenore Baker Koeppel and great-grandchildren Logan Schuster.


Graveside services will be held at Sierra View Cemetery, on Thursday, September 24, at 11 a.m.


June was a very loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and friend. Her loving smile will be missed. The Angels have received a gentle spirit. "We love you June Lady."
