The Butte County Farm Bureau will be offering an Agricultural Hazardous Materials Transportation Program to farmers & farm employees.

The Butte County Farm Bureau will be offering an Agricultural Hazardous Materials Transportation Program to farmers & farm employees.  The CHP approved program is for persons 21 years or older, who have a current class C drivers license.  Students will receive a DL-267 certificate that will enable them to legally transport hazardous agricultural materials on public roadways (within a 50 mile radius), without a commercial driver’s license.  Credits earned in the class are valid for 4 years.

The class will be held Thursday, January 29, at the Butte County Farm Bureau office located at 2580 Feather River Boulevard in Oroville.  The English class will take place from 9 AM – 12 PM and the Spanish class will take place from 1 PM – 4 PM.  Cost is $25 per person for current Farm Bureau members and $45 per person for non-members. Pre-registration and payment are required. There is a limit on class size so early registration is encouraged.
