Jose Alvarez scored three goals and had three assists. Erick Garcia, Miguel Gonzalez (one assist), Agustin Alvarez, Jose Mota and Cali Garcia each had one goal. Juan Pareco had the team's fifth assist.

Ivan Martinez and Tony Montes combined for seven saves in the game.

Gridley improves to 7-3-3 overall and 4-1-3 in league. They've now won or tied in each of their last six games.

Live Oak 2, Willows 2
The Lions (5-4-2, 5-3-2) scored the first two goals of the game, but gave up two in the second half to tie Willows at home on Tuesday. Hector Cibrian and Armando Araujo scored for Live Oak, while Raul Diaz and Cibrian had assists. Luis Ramirez had four saves in the game.

A poor first half led to a 20-point loss for the Lions, who fall to 5-9 overall and 0-1 in the Sacramento Valley North League. They played to a tie with Willows in the second half, but couldn't make up the difference.

Sandra Alcantar led Live Oak with 15 points, while Rachel DeWitt and Margauex Fenn had five, Melissa Anderson and Amyah Clark had four, and Andrea Ruiz had two.

Coming off of four straight wins, the Bulldogs couldn't handle the Thunderbirds (16-2) on the road. They drop to 8-6 overall and play at Orland today at 7 p.m. They're back at home on January 27 against Wheatland.

The Lady Wolverines dropped their first league game of the year, and will take on Hamilton before returning home on January 27 to face Los Molinos.

The Lady Lions were shutout for the second straight game as they fell to 3-6-2. Live Oak is 3-1 at home, and will return on January 29 against league opponent Hamilton.

The Lady bulldogs are now 2-7-1 after their first tie came against Oroville. They have only three regular season games left, including a home game against Winters on January 27.
