The Bulldogs lost point guard Nick Wilson, Brad Bertagna, Kegan Waite, Zack McFarlane and Jake MacFarlane from a year ago, but return Scott Peck, Vincent Spring, Bryan Monzon, Josh Pippitt, and Ian Haymond and Daniel Carmona. Senior Dylan Schwartz could also play.

Ty Nichols, Anthony Paredes, Trevor Scott, Israel Garcia, Zane McFarlane, Kris Dirks, Mikey Castillo and Alexander Agapiades move up from J.V. It's an unusually large team of 15 because there was a surplus of junior talent. Coach Jamie Spring said he'll probably go 10 deep on a regular basis.

"Rather than cut a couple kids and try to bring them back their senior year, it made more sense to have them come out with us even though they might not get much playing time," he said.

It's a fast and intelligent team that gets along real well. They figure to have a successful two years with this junior class. Spring said the team might need to step up their man defense, but because their offense was doing so well he hesitated to call it a weakness.

It's a team that has the ability to outscore just about anyone they play.

"We'll see at GIBT, but other than that I think so," Spring said. "The league is going to be strong, but we'll be one of the better teams I think."

Spring said the team's goals are to win the Butte View Leaue and go far into the playoffs. They'd also like to do something that hasn't been done in the last couple years - win at least one GIBT game.

"We're definitely thinking that we're going to win at least one game," he said. "We don't know that much about our competition, a couple teams are new. But that's our attitude right now, that we're going to come away with at least one win in the GIBT."

The Bulldogs open the season at Marysville on December 2. The GIBT is the second weekend of December.
