Both the 7th and 8th grade basketball teams from Biggs Elementary School lost to the Huskies and fell to 3-2.

The 7th graders scored the first points of the game, but the Huskies came back to tie the game at 2-2. The first half was a defensive battle, and Biggs trailed 19-11. Little D (Dalton, No. 11) was on fire in the game, as was Blaine Roles (No. 21) and Israel Fanfare (No. 19).

The fouls called on the team were starting to get to them, while the crowd tried to boost their spirits up, but they fell 41-27. Their next game is a rematch against the Huskies on December 2 in Richvale.

The 8th graders were up next and looked ready to play early on. Randy Stanley (No. 23) played a big role on defense, and Trever Horn (No. 9) was trying to get around the Huskies on offense. It looked like Biggs had the power and speed to get the job done.

At halftime, the scored was tied at 13. The game stayed close and the teams played into a double overtime, led by Steve Brown (No. 10) and Chance Felkins (No. 18).

The Wolverines eventually fell short, however, losing 49-43. Parents in the crowd were again upset with the fouls called on Biggs.

The 8th graders will also play a rematch against the Huskies on December 2 in Richvale at 3:45 p.m.
