Marjorie A. Meister, passed away on August 26, 2008, in Gridley following a short illness.  She was born in Cortez, Colorado, and was a long time resident of Gridley, having farmed here for many years.

Marjorie A. Meister, passed away on August 26, 2008, in Gridley following a short illness.  She was born in Cortez, Colorado, and was a long time resident of Gridley, having farmed here for many years.

She was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church and was a former member of the Gridley Women’s Club, the Gridley Garden Club, and the Republican National Committee.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and traveling.

She is survived by long time companion Steve Ban, of Gridley, and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, D.O. Meister, who died in 1977.
Visitation hours will be held on Monday, September 1, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at 2 p.m., at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Gridley with Father John Harris officiating and burial following at the Gridley-Biggs District Cemetery.

Contributions to the St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church Altar Guild are suggested by the family and may be left at the church or the Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, which is entrusted with the arrangements.
